Group Therapy, Classes and Seminars

THERAPY GROUPS CAN CREATE A SPACE FOR GROWTH

Research and our own experience tells us that group therapy is an effective and affordable resource for those in the midst of stressful situations.  A small group can provide a safe place for both adults and children to work through feelings of loss, anger and grief and -- at the same time -- develop skills that help them move through stressful transitions. People experiencing the symptoms of depression and anxiety can learn ways to manage these and develop a stronger sense of self.

Current Samaritan groups include a Divorce Lifeline Therapy Group and an Adult Therapy Group for Men and Women. To  learn more about these, go to the links below.

CLASSES, SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS

As a community that believes in lifetime learning, we want to respond to the needs and opportunities that arise for supporting learning and growth among those we serve.  Most of our classes, workshops and seminars are led by Samaritan staff members; some are co-sponsored with other entities.  Currently, a class on Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is offered at our Main Office in Seattle. Click on the link below for more information about this.

Information about other classes and workshops can be found by going to our home page, then to Professional Education or Consultation
